Magicians in Los Angeles

Although this is my first article, it's good to know there are incredible magicians in the Beverly Hills and Los Angeles areas. Some are considered mentalists, close up card, also known as strolling, and stage performers. Many of these skilled performers perform separtely as comedians, professional SAG actors, bartenders and more as other parts of their work and artistic lifestyles.

Before headlining at the Moxy Hotel downtown at Level 8, I was the Vice President of Hollywood's International Brotherhood of Magicians for 3 years. Prior to that I began working with the headliner from Caesar's Palace Jeff McBride in order to become a true in the art and not just the business of magic as a performance art and a business itself. There are many things I have noticed over the years that make magicians different than any other breed of artist. Or perhaps all artists are this way. Some certainly have some overlapping qualities in the arts. Some take care of their health, others less so. Some perform hundreds of times a year, others a good baker's dozen. Each situation is unique as is all of our lives, but the things I have learned from the schools including the Las Vegas Magic School, taking 3 separate classes at The Magic Castle, and more are interesting concepts of the lifestyle some magicians lead vs others and why.
